Silent Disco/ Clubbing Hits the World

Silent discois a phenomenon that has taken off at music festivals (Coachella, Bonnaroo), bars and weddings as a way to party without running afoul of noise ordinances and curfews. Also called silent party or mobile clubbing. it involves the gathering of a group of people in a location to dance to music which they provide themselves via a mobile headphones. This is clubbing for people who don’t want to be subjected to the will of one DJ for the evening and, because the wearer controls the volume, clubbing for people who don’t want ringing ears and sore throats the next morning.
Any space can be transformed into temporary clubbing areas, in which dancers listen to their playlists. To an observer it would appear that the participants are dancing for no apparent reason.
